Compared with other methods of machining and plastic machining, stamping has many unique advantages in both technical and economic aspects. The main manifestations are as follows:

(1)

The production efficiency of stamping processing is high, and the operation is convenient, easy to realize mechanization and automation. This is because stamping is to rely on punching die and stamping equipment to complete the processing, the stroke times of ordinary press can reach dozens of times per minute, high speed pressure can reach hundreds of times per minute or even thousands of times, and each stamping stroke may get a punch.

(2)

Due to the die to ensure the size and shape accuracy of the stamping parts, and generally do not destroy the surface quality of the stamping parts, and the life of the die is generally long, so the quality of the stamping is stable, good interchangeability, with the characteristics of "exactly the same".

(3)

Stamping can be processed with a large size range, the shape of the more complex parts, such as small to the stopwatch of a clock, large to the car longitudinal beam, covering parts, etc., plus the cold deformation hardening effect of the material when stamping, stamping strength and stiffness are high.

(4)

Stamping generally does not generate cuttings, material consumption is less, and do not need other heating equipment, so it is a kind of material saving, energy saving processing method, the cost of stamping parts is low.
