Use this die set to form products such as fire extinguisher bodies, air receiver shells, or filter canisters. You place a circular or shaped blank on the die, the hydraulic press descends, and the material is drawn into a seamless shell. The blank holder pressure can be fine-tuned to match the material thickness and temper.
The die includes a ball-bearing guidance system that keeps the upper and lower halves perfectly aligned, even under off-center loads.

The draw ring has a polished radius to help the metal flow inward. A hardened pressure pad prevents the die base from being dented by repeated high-force cycles.
The finished shells come out with good concentricity and even wall thickness, which makes subsequent welding or flanging much simpler. When the surface eventually needs refreshing, only the draw ring entrance radius needs a light regrind. This keeps overall tool maintenance low and extends the useful life of the entire set.
