1. Blanking Die:
The blanking die is the first tooling step in production. Its core function is to cut steel coils into precisely sized circular blanks, providing a standard base material for subsequent stretching and forming. This die adopts a modular structure and is equipped with high-precision guide pillars, ensuring smooth, burr-free blanking edges and high dimensional consistency, thus avoiding uneven stress during subsequent stretching and forming. Its precision directly determines the basic dimensional tolerance of the cylinder shell, making it a fundamental die for ensuring uniformity in mass production.
2. End Cap Stretching and Forming Die:
This is the core and critical die in LPG cylinder production, used for the curved surface stretching and forming of the upper and lower end caps. The die mainly consists of a punch, die, pressure ring, and floating buffer assembly. During operation, hydraulic pressure drives the punch downwards, working in conjunction with the pressure ring to clamp the sheet metal, achieving curved plastic deformation of the steel plate. The floating settling component of this mold can mitigate the concentrated stress during stamping, effectively avoiding common defects such as center tearing, edge warping, and localized thinning of the sheet metal, ensuring uniform curvature and consistent wall thickness of the end cap.
3. Trimming and Shaping Mold:
After the initial forming of the end cap and shell, excess waste and irregular deformation may remain at the edges. The trimming and shaping mold is used to remove excess material and correct forming deviations, precisely controlling key dimensions such as the overall height, diameter, and coaxiality of the cylinder. This ensures the accuracy of subsequent welding and assembly, meeting the dimensional standards for special equipment and your customized needs.
