Mold processing type and difficulty level

Type of mould processing

1, rough processing
Roughing strategies need to be based on the type of blank and die surface. If the blank is forgings or steel parts, then roughing is best to choose the region to clear the model processing, the majority of the blank margin to get rid of, uniform blank margin, to provide convenience for subsequent processing.
2. Semi-finishing
The main purpose of semi-finishing is to ensure the uniform margin during finishing. The most common method is to calculate the boundary contour of the residual material first, and then select a smaller tool to process these 3D contour areas, rather than re-machining the whole model.
3. Local finishing
Local finishing generally refers to clear Angle machining. Clear Angle processing should use multiple processing or series of tools from large to small processing method.
4. Finishing
In finishing, unless the die surface height changes relatively large, it is best to choose parallel finishing.

Die difficulty level
Class A: The mold with multiple rows and inclined top multiple parting, core pulling and rotating shaft core structure is very complex.
Grade B: there are multiple (two to four) row position inclined top two to three parting and there are more complex mold structure such as pumping core.
Grade C: simple fine water inlet glue mold, with one or two rows, inclined top and other general structure of the mold.
Grade D: large water mouth mold, two plate mold, no row position, no inclined top and other simple structure of the mold.
