Adjustment Parameters & Precision

Total eccentric range: 0.2 mm on diameter, enabling a displacement of the internal bore by up to 0.1 mm in any direction.

Fine-adjustment dial engraved with 10 µm divisions. Post-lock concentricity shift less than 3 µm.

Material & Stabilization Treatment

Fabricated from A2 air-hardening cold work steel (1.2363). Vacuum hardened to 58-60 HRC and triple tempered.

Cryogenic treatment at -80°C for 2 hours between tempers eliminates retained austenite, ensuring long-term dimensional stability.

Manufacturing & Forming Accuracy Role

The outer diameter and eccentric inner bore are ground in a single clamping on a CNC cylindrical grinder to guarantee parallelism. After assembly, the bushing's runout is verified on a CMM.

During die setup, technicians rotate the bushing to center the punch inside the die button, thereby establishing a perfectly uniform clearance around the entire profile. This actively compensates for any manufacturing tolerance stack-up, minimizing burr formation on the stamped part.
