Supplying 200 Sets of Battery Case Aluminum Sheet Drawing Dies

Recently,Dongmo (Hebei) Mold Co., Ltd.. (hereinafter referred to as "Dongmo") successfully won the annual mold procurement project of a well-known European new energy vehicle manufacturer (specific name omitted due to the non-disclosure agreement, NDA). The company will supply 200 sets of high-precision battery case aluminum sheet drawing dies for the manufacturer, with a total order value exceeding 8 million euros. This cooperation marks that Dongmo's mold quality and service capabilities have met the standards of the European high-end automotive supply chain, successfully entering the core supporting system of the European new energy vehicle industry.
It is understood that the European automaker has extremely strict requirements on mold accuracy, service life and environmental protection: the mold processing accuracy must reach ±0.005mm to ensure the sealing performance of the formed battery case; the mold service life must be no less than 1.5 million cycles to adapt to large-scale automated production; at the same time, the mold material is required to comply with the EU RoHS environmental protection directive, and the production process must meet the ISO 14001 environmental protection standard.
To meet the customer's requirements, Dongmo set up a special R&D team. Aiming at the difficulties in the drawing process of new energy vehicle battery cases, the team optimized the mold design scheme: adopting high-quality SKD11 die steel, which reaches HRC 60-62 hardness after vacuum quenching + three-stage tempering; using mirror polishing technology (Ra≤0.02μm) for the mold cavity to avoid wrinkling and cracking of aluminum sheets during the drawing process; integrating modular die base design to facilitate subsequent maintenance for customers and reduce maintenance costs by 20%. Finally, Dongmo's scheme stood out among 12 bidding enterprises and successfully won the order.
