Key points of composite die design

(1) There must be one (or several) convex and concave die in the composite die, and the convex and concave die is the core part of the composite die. The precision of punching parts is higher than that of a single process, and the precision of punching parts can reach IT10~IT11.

(2) composite die out of the parts are pushed out by the mold mouth, the parts are relatively smooth.

(3) The punching parts of composite die are more complex, and various mechanisms are set around the working parts of the die, so the closing height is often high, especially in the design should be paid attention to.

(4) The cost of composite die is high, the manufacturing cycle is long, and it is generally suitable for the production of large quantities of stamping parts.

(5) When designing composite die, ensure the strength of the die, especially pay attention to the minimum wall thickness of the die. In order to increase the strength of the die and reduce the expansion force of the waste in the hole, it can be used to increase the wall thickness under the effective cutting edge of the die and push the waste out in reverse.

(6) There are many types of pushing device of composite die. In the design, attention should be paid to the amount of activity of the plate and the block, and the amount of activity of the two should be consistent. In the open state of the mold, the block should expose the concave die 0.2~0.5mm.

(7) There are many forms of die handle suitable for composite die, such as press type, screw type, flange type, floating type, etc. can be selected. It should be ensured that the die handle is fitted well after loading into the die seat and has enough stability. It can not reduce the strength of the die handle because of the setting of the material return mechanism, or increase the closing height of the die too much.
