Versatile Sheet Metal Moulds For Enclosure And Bracket Production

The sheetmetal moulds fit standard C-frame presses. An operator places a flat sheet against locating stops. When the ram descends, a punch makes a bend while another punch may pierce a hole in the same stroke. The combined action finishes a bracket or enclosure panel without moving the sheet to a second station.

The base plate is medium-carbon steel, and the forming and cutting inserts are high-speed tool steel. This keeps the cost manageable while giving the working edges long life. Guide pins realign the mould halves accurately with every cycle, so the hole positions and bend angles stay consistent part after part.

These sheetmetal moulds can process material up to two millimeters thick and run in presses commonly found in small factories. Swapping inserts allows a quick change from one part number to another. The approach reduces the need for many dedicated dies, saves storage space, and makes the workshop more flexible when customers ask for short-notice samples or repeat orders.
