Structural Optimization: Based on material flow characteristics, construct the cavity surface using a multi-station, step-by-step forming scheme to decompose deformation and control local thinning rates within a safe range, eliminating defects such as tearing and wrinkling. Rationally plan the process sequence to ensure the orderly execution of composite processes such as blanking, bending, and forming, avoiding process interference.

2. Dimensional Accuracy Control: Set key dimension tolerances for the cavity according to part assembly requirements. Control the tolerance of important forming surfaces within ±0.01mm, and the positional accuracy of the positioning datum surface within 0.005mm, ensuring dimensional consistency in mass production of stamped parts.

3. Machinability Design
The cavity structure avoids difficult-to-machine structures such as narrow, deep cavities and sharp corner transitions. II. High-Precision Manufacturing Practice
Mold cavity manufacturing implements full-process precision control. Key process steps are implemented as follows:

1. Machining Equipment Configuration
The main cavity body uses a high-precision CNC machining center and slow wire EDM equipment. Complex curved surfaces use five-axis linkage machining equipment. Rigid fixtures and dedicated tooling are selected, with clamping repeatability positioning accuracy not exceeding 0.003mm, providing a fundamental guarantee for machining accuracy.

2. Process Route Formulation
A progressive process route is implemented, consisting of roughing, semi-finishing, finishing, and grinding/polishing. Roughing quickly removes excess material, while finishing employs shallow depth of cut and high feed parameters. Five-axis machining enables one-time forming of complex curved surfaces, ensuring both surface contour accuracy and dimensional precision.

3. Process Inspection and Control: Online inspection equipment monitors the process in real time, while a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) performs offline inspection of critical dimensions. Geometric tolerances such as contour accuracy, flatness, and parallelism are checked item by item. Any deviations are promptly adjusted using toolpath parameters to ensure the cavity fully meets design requirements.

4. Surface Strengthening Treatment: The cavity forming surface undergoes precision polishing to achieve a surface roughness of Ra≤0.8μm. Subsequent nitriding or PVD coating treatment improves surface hardness and wear resistance, reduces the coefficient of friction, minimizes stamping scratches, and extends mold life.
