From a steel coil, this washer stamping metal die advances the strip step by step using pilots. First, the inner hole is pierced, then the outer shape is blanked at the next station. Because these actions happen one after another while the strip is still guided, the finished washer is perfectly concentric with a clean edge.

We use a floating stripper that presses the strip flat against the die surface before the punch hits. This is a big deal for thin washers, because without it the metal can lift and cause distorted shapes. After blanking, the washer drops straight through a clear opening, so you avoid jams that interrupt a high-speed press run.

The carbide inserts sit in pockets and can be rotated or replaced once wear shows. Daily care is mostly checking oil mist and clearing any debris.
