Precision Progressive Die For Automotive Connector Terminals

This tool is designed around a continuous strip that moves through several stations. Each station does one small job, such as piercing, bending, or cutting off the finished terminal. Because the work is split into small steps, the strip stays flat and the punch life gets longer. The guiding system keeps the strip in the correct position, which lowers the chance of mis-hits and jam-ups.

The die set uses standard punch retainers and die buttons that can be bought from common suppliers. That means the factory does not need to keep many special spare parts in stock. When a punch wears, the operator can swap it from the top side without pulling the whole die out of the press. This cuts repair time and keeps production running with fewer interruptions.

For shops that make wiring harness parts, this die fits into existing press lines without major changes. The shut height and mounting slots follow common press sizes. The finished terminals come off the die with a clean break edge, ready for plating or assembly. Scrap is separated from the part early, so the strip does not carry loose slugs into later stations.
