Material: The drawing die cavity and blank holder are made of Daido DC53 die steel from Japan, heat-treated to 60–62 HRC. The punch is made of YG15 cemented carbide, mirror-polished to Ra 0.02μm. The die set is made of heat-treated 45# steel, with guide pillars and bushings made of GCr15 bearing steel.

Process: CAE simulation is first used to analyze drawability and determine the optimal blank holder force and drawbead layout. Machining is performed via CNC turning and milling, followed by vacuum quenching and triple tempering. A critical diamond-like carbon (DLC) coating is deposited on the die cavity surface, lowering the friction coefficient to below 0.1. During assembly, red lead spotting is used to verify uniform blank holder clearance. In production, drawing oil is applied to reliably control the thinning rate of 304 stainless steel within 30% in a single draw, producing finished parts free of wrinkles or fractures.
