Protective Measures for Transporting Metal Stamping Dies

I. Scientifically Customized Packaging Plan
Stamping dies will be transported in custom-made export wooden crates with a minimum board thickness of 20mm. The crate frame will be reinforced with 100*100mm solid wood blocks, with a load-bearing capacity ≥ 3 times the weight of the die. The die surface will be coated with anti-rust oil and covered with a layer of PE protective film and anti-rust paper. Internally, custom-made EVA foam or solid wood support grooves will be installed according to the die's shape, with a positioning accuracy error ≤ 2mm, ensuring the die remains stationary and does not shift or shake within the crate. Vulnerable parts such as punches and dies will be separately disassembled and packaged, placed in shock-absorbing lined boxes, and must not be stored exposed.

II. Standardized Loading and Securement
Platformed trucks or enclosed vans will be used for transport. Before loading, the flatness of the cargo box will be checked, and rubber cushioning pads will be laid. Dies will be loaded in layers according to weight, with heavier dies at the bottom and lighter dies on top. Heavy objects must not be placed on guide pillars, punches, or other slender and vulnerable parts. Secure the molds to the truck bed using ratchet straps, with at least four securing points per box. Maintain strap tension between 500-1000N to prevent slippage during vehicle movement. Store molds of different models in designated areas with a spacing of at least 100mm to prevent collisions.

III. Select a Professional Logistics Service Provider. Choose a logistics company with qualifications for transporting large and precision equipment. Require vehicles equipped with GPS monitoring systems and shock absorbers, and drivers with experience in transporting special cargo. Clearly inform the provider of the cargo's characteristics before transport, and require careful handling throughout the journey, prohibiting sudden braking and sharp turns. Sign a transportation contract specifying damage compensation standards and require the logistics company to provide the entire transportation route and vibration data records.

IV. Establish a Standardized Transportation Process. Develop a "Mold Transportation Operation Guideline" that clearly defines the standards for the entire process, including packaging acceptance, loading supervision, roadside inspection, and arrival acceptance. Packaging personnel must verify the mold number, quantity, and protection status, and sign for confirmation upon verification. Technical personnel will supervise loading on-site. Vehicle status will be checked via GPS every 2 hours during transport. Upon arrival, the recipient will jointly open the box for inspection, fill out the "Transportation Arrival Acceptance Form," and immediately take photos as evidence and file a claim if any abnormalities are found.

V. Introduction of Intelligent Monitoring Technology
Triaxial shock-absorbing sensors will be installed inside the transport wooden crates to monitor vibration frequency in real time (threshold set to ≥5g), with automatic alarms for abnormal data. Vehicles will be equipped with GPS positioning systems to achieve full-process trajectory tracking, ensuring management has real-time access to the transportation status. Sensor data will be integrated with the logistics system to form a transportation safety file, serving as the basis for subsequent services and claims.

VI. Strengthening Employee Training and Responsibility Awareness
Regular training will be organized for packaging, loading/unloading, and logistics personnel, assessing their knowledge of mold protection and operating procedures. Job responsibilities will be clearly defined; packaging personnel, loading/unloading workers, and drivers will all sign to confirm the transportation process, ensuring accountability. Accident case analysis will be conducted to improve employees' awareness of mold fragility, strictly enforce operating standards, and prevent rough handling.
